JUNE-SEPTEMBER at P-K Pet Resort & Spa
Hello from P-K Pet Resort & Spa
It’s been a little while since our last blog post. June, July, August, and September flew by in a blur of adorable pups, busy days and lots of summer fun here at P-K! The blog got a little behind while we kept busy caring for the dogs; and the pups always come first! We’ve had a wonderful summer filled with lots of fun in the sun with new friends and familiar faces.

🦴 Fun with Your Pup: Treat Treasure Hunt
This summer, we had fun spending one-on-one time with the pups! Whether we were playing fetch or tug, practicing tricks, or just enjoying a few cuddles, every dog had a favorite! One game we like to play is Treat Treasure Hunt, where the pups use their noses to find small treats.
What to try it at home?
Start easy: let your dog watch you hide a treat in a safe, easy-to-find spot, then encourage them to “find it!” Once they get the idea, hide treats around the house or yard in plain sight at first, then in trickier spots. You can also try hiding treats under plastic cups, inside cardboard boxes or in egg cartons. Stay nearby to cheer them on, supervise the game, and make sure the hiding spots are safe.
Use your pup’s regular kibble or small dry treats, and let your dog’s nose lead the way!

🚗 Seasonal Safety Reminder
Now that fall is here and it’s getting dark earlier, please keep an eye out for deer! They often cross the gravel road as they travel to and from the field at the corner of County Roads 15 & 117.
Kindly,
Alex & Christine
