CAN I TAKE A TOUR?

Absolutely! We love to showcase our brand-new resort. Please call or email us to set up an appointment.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

At P-K Pet Resort & Spa, we ensure a luxurious stay for all our boarding pet guests, providing everything they need. However, to avoid any upset stomachs due to a change in diet, we ask you to bring their food pre-portioned per serving/day in individual baggies.

You are welcome to bring along items like a T-shirt or an extra blanket that may make your pet’s stay more comfortable.

What To Bring:

  • Food- All food must be pre-portioned per serving/per day in individual baggies. For example, if your pup stays for three days and eats twice a day, please provide six separate baggies, each containing a single serving of food. This preparation ensures your pet receives the right amount at each meal and helps us care for them as you would at home.

    *** If you would like us to pre-portion the meals, there will be a charge of $5/day.

    *** If we need to buy your pet’s specific food from a local store, please note that there will be a delivery fee of $50, in addition to the cost of the dog food.

  • Medications- All medication must be brought in the prescription bottle or original packaging.

  • Collar and Leash- for your pet to enter and exit the resort. We kindly request you take these items home with you to minimize the risk of misplacement.

  • Toys- please limit your pet’s toys to 2 (two) that are safe for unsupervised play.

    ***Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to these items.

The safety of your companion is our utmost priority, and we reserve the right to make decisions accordingly.

DO YOU BOARD CATS?

As much as we adore cats, unfortunately we do not at this time. We have limited availability for in-home cat sitting.

We dream of someday adding a cat only resort & a sanctuary but until then we donate our time volunteering and a portion of our VIP suites profits to Camp Companion and Evergreen Sanctuary.

DO YOU GROOM CATS?

Unfortunately, we no longer offer cat grooming services. Our master cat groomer is no longer available. When we find a groomer we trust, we will let you know our recommendation.

CAN MY DOGS SHARE A SUITE?

Yes, they can! Dogs from the same household can often share a suite! We prioritize their well-being, considering size, breed, and whether they eat comfortably together in new environments. We closely monitor all guests and may separate them if needed for a stress-free stay. Even familiar companions can get overwhelmed in unfamiliar places. We can offer separate suites for relaxation, with supervised playtime together as an option.

***It's important to note that our boarding fees are per pet. While shared suites can be an option, caring for two pets together requires extra attention to ensure their individual needs are met.

IF MY DOGS SHARE A SUITE, IS THERE A DISCOUNT?

To ensure we can meet the individual needs of all our pet guests, our boarding fees apply to each pet.

While sharing a suite can be a great option for your dogs, it sometimes requires extra attention. We also want to prioritize their comfort and compatibility throughout their stay. This means we might recommend separate suites if any concerns arise. This flexibility ensures a stress-free and enjoyable experience for all.

ARE VACCINATIONS REQUIRED?

  • Proof of vaccinations from your pet’s veterinarian are required for all Boarding, Day Retreat, Grooming/Spa and Pet-Kab services.

  • We can only confirm reservations once we have up-to-date vaccination records on file.

  • Bordetella must be administered at least 2 weeks prior to your pet’s arrival.

  • All puppies must be 4 months of age and have completed their required vaccinations.

    Required Vaccinations:

  • Rabies: 1 or 3 years

  • DHLPP: 1 year

  • Bordetella: 1 year (at least 2 weeks prior to arrival)

  • Canine Influenza Vaccine: highly recommended but not required at this time (subject to policy change).

IS SOMEONE AT THE RESORT WITH THE DOGS 24/7?

While we don't have staff awake during sleeping hours, rest assured we have multiple layers of security and monitoring in place overnight:

  • Owner Proximity: Alex, one of the owners, lives right next door to the resort and is only steps away.

  • Continuous Monitoring: We have cameras placed throughout the resort that we check regularly.

  • Immediate Alerts: The facility is equipped with alarms that notify us directly the moment any issue arises.

Your pup is never truly alone. Our security systems and the owner's proximity ensure that any concern is quickly identified and addressed. As an added benefit, the cameras allow both our staff and you, the pet parent, to keep a watchful eye!

HOW MUCH TIME DO THE DOGS GET FOR THE INDIVIDUAL PLAY SESSION?

We prioritize quality, personalized time for every pup!

All our guests are taken out every 2–3 hours throughout the day.

Each dog also receives focused one-on-one time:

  • Luxury Guests receive ONE individual play or cuddle session.

  • Grand Guests receive TWO individual sessions.

Each session is tailored to your pup's unique play style and needs and usually runs for 15 minutes or longer. Since your dog has our full, undivided attention for the entire time, we can completely focus on their favorite activities whether that's playing with toys, working on puzzles, cuddling, or even learning new tricks.

WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?

Boarding is available 365 days a year. The following holidays require a 2 (two) night stay. Our lobby is closed on these holidays.

  • New Year’s Day

  • Easter Sunday

  • Memorial Day

  • Independence Day (July 4th)

  • Labor Day

  • Thanksgiving Day

  • Christmas Day

WHAT ARE YOUR PEAK/ HOLIDAY PERIODS?

Our Peak/Holiday periods are:

  • Week of New Years

  • Easter/Spring Break,

  • Memorial Day Weekend

  • Week of July 4th

  • Labor Day Weekend

  • MEA Weekend

  • Thanksgiving Weekend

  • Week of Christmas

***Peak and Holiday rates are not charged at a higher rate for Boarding.

***Day Retreat, Spa Service & Pet-Kab are not available to the public on the above-mentioned holidays or weekends.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?

To guarantee your pet's spot, we kindly require a 50% deposit of the boarding cost at booking using a credit card.

WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?

In order to avoid loss of your deposit, here are our cancellation policies:

1. Regular Season:

  • Cancellation Notice: at least 2 days before the scheduled arrival date.

  • No-Show Charge: a minimum of 1 night stay will be charged.

2. Peak/Holiday Season:

  • Cancellation Notice: At least 7 days before the scheduled arrival date.

  • No-Show Charge: A minimum of 2 nights stay will be charged.
