CAN I TAKE A TOUR?
Absolutely! We love to showcase our brand-new resort. Please call or email us to set up an appointment.
WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?
At P-K Pet Resort & Spa, we ensure a luxurious stay for all our boarding pet guests, providing everything they need. However, to avoid any upset stomachs due to a change in diet, we ask you to bring their food pre-portioned per serving/day in individual baggies.
You are welcome to bring along items like a T-shirt or an extra blanket that may make your pet’s stay more comfortable.
What To Bring:
Food- All food must be pre-portioned per serving/per day in individual baggies. For example, if your pup stays for three days and eats twice a day, please provide six separate baggies, each containing a single serving of food. This preparation ensures your pet receives the right amount at each meal and helps us care for them as you would at home.
*** If you would like us to pre-portion the meals, there will be a charge of $5/day.
*** If we need to buy your pet’s specific food from a local store, please note that there will be a delivery fee of $50, in addition to the cost of the dog food.
Medications- All medication must be brought in the prescription bottle or original packaging.
Collar and Leash- for your pet to enter and exit the resort. We kindly request you take these items home with you to minimize the risk of misplacement.
Toys- please limit your pet’s toys to 2 (two) that are safe for unsupervised play.
***Please note that we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to these items.
The safety of your companion is our utmost priority, and we reserve the right to make decisions accordingly.
DO YOU BOARD CATS?
As much as we adore cats, unfortunately we do not at this time. We have limited availability for in-home cat sitting.
We dream of someday adding a cat only resort & a sanctuary but until then we donate our time volunteering and a portion of our VIP suites profits to Camp Companion and Evergreen Sanctuary.
DO YOU GROOM CATS?
Unfortunately, we no longer offer cat grooming services. Our master cat groomer is no longer available. When we find a groomer we trust, we will let you know our recommendation.
CAN MY DOGS SHARE A SUITE?
Yes, they can! Dogs from the same household can often share a suite! We prioritize their well-being, considering size, breed, and whether they eat comfortably together in new environments. We closely monitor all guests and may separate them if needed for a stress-free stay. Even familiar companions can get overwhelmed in unfamiliar places. We can offer separate suites for relaxation, with supervised playtime together as an option.
***It's important to note that our boarding fees are per pet. While shared suites can be an option, caring for two pets together requires extra attention to ensure their individual needs are met.
IF MY DOGS SHARE A SUITE, IS THERE A DISCOUNT?
To ensure we can meet the individual needs of all our pet guests, our boarding fees apply to each pet.
While sharing a suite can be a great option for your dogs, it sometimes requires extra attention. We also want to prioritize their comfort and compatibility throughout their stay. This means we might recommend separate suites if any concerns arise. This flexibility ensures a stress-free and enjoyable experience for all.
ARE VACCINATIONS REQUIRED?
Proof of vaccinations from your pet’s veterinarian are required for all Boarding, Day Retreat, Grooming/Spa and Pet-Kab services.
We can only confirm reservations once we have up-to-date vaccination records on file.
Bordetella must be administered at least 2 weeks prior to your pet’s arrival.
All puppies must be 4 months of age and have completed their required vaccinations.
Required Vaccinations:
Rabies: 1 or 3 years
DHLPP: 1 year
Bordetella: 1 year (at least 2 weeks prior to arrival)
Canine Influenza Vaccine: highly recommended but not required at this time (subject to policy change).
IS SOMEONE AT THE RESORT WITH THE DOGS 24/7?
While we don't have staff awake during sleeping hours, rest assured we have multiple layers of security and monitoring in place overnight:
Owner Proximity: Alex, one of the owners, lives right next door to the resort and is only steps away.
Continuous Monitoring: We have cameras placed throughout the resort that we check regularly.
Immediate Alerts: The facility is equipped with alarms that notify us directly the moment any issue arises.
Your pup is never truly alone. Our security systems and the owner's proximity ensure that any concern is quickly identified and addressed. As an added benefit, the cameras allow both our staff and you, the pet parent, to keep a watchful eye!
HOW MUCH TIME DO THE DOGS GET FOR THE INDIVIDUAL PLAY SESSION?
We prioritize quality, personalized time for every pup!
All our guests are taken out every 2–3 hours throughout the day.
Each dog also receives focused one-on-one time:
Luxury Guests receive ONE individual play or cuddle session.
Grand Guests receive TWO individual sessions.
Each session is tailored to your pup's unique play style and needs and usually runs for 15 minutes or longer. Since your dog has our full, undivided attention for the entire time, we can completely focus on their favorite activities whether that's playing with toys, working on puzzles, cuddling, or even learning new tricks.
WHEN ARE YOU OPEN?
Boarding is available 365 days a year. The following holidays require a 2 (two) night stay. Our lobby is closed on these holidays.

DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
To guarantee your pet's spot, we kindly require a 50% deposit of the boarding cost at booking using a credit card.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION POLICY?
In order to avoid loss of your deposit, here are our cancellation policies:
1. Regular Season:
Cancellation Notice: at least 2 days before the scheduled arrival date.
No-Show Charge: a minimum of 1 night stay will be charged.
2. Peak/Holiday Season:
Cancellation Notice: At least 7 days before the scheduled arrival date.
No-Show Charge: A minimum of 2 nights stay will be charged.
P-K Pet Resort Policies and Guidelines
LOBBY HOURS
Monday – Friday: 8am – 10am and 4pm - 6pm
Saturday: 8am – 9am
Sunday: 8-9 am and 5pm –6pm
Boarding is available 365 days a year.

RESERVATIONS
Reservations are required for all Boarding, Day Retreat, Grooming/Spa and Pet Kab services.
Confirmed Boarding reservations must have the following on file:

CANCELLATIONS
*Please note different policies depending on dates*
Cancellations must be made within the time listed below or your credit card on file will be charged in full for the confirmed services, unless otherwise noted.
Non-Peak/Holiday periods
Day Retreats & Grooming: 48 hours prior to date of arrival.
Cancellations for Day Retreats & grooming made within the 2-day period, or a no show, will be charged the $50 deposit.
Boarding: 48 hours prior to date of arrival.
Cancellations for boarding made within the 2-day period, or a no show, will be charged for one night at the rate of the reserved room.
Peak/Holiday periods
Boarding: 7 days or more prior to date of arrival.
Cancellations for boarding made within the 7-day period, or a no show, will be charged for two nights, at the rate of the reserved room, to the credit card on file.
PEAK/HOLIDAY PERIODS
Peak/Holiday rates are not charged a higher rate for Boarding.
Day Retreats are not available on Fridays and during Peak/Holiday periods.
Peak/Holiday Periods: Week of New Years, Memorial Day Weekend, Week of July 4th, Labor Day Weekend, MEA Weekend, Thanksgiving Weekend, Easter/Spring Break, and the Week of Christmas.
There is a minimum 2 (two) night boarding requirement during Peak/Holiday Periods.
ARRIVALS
Arrivals and departures must occur during lobby hours. If the lobby is already occupied, please wait outside. Doing so ensures the safety of all dogs, guests, and our staff, and minimizes disruption to the animals in our care. Thank you!

***We offer the option of extending your pet’s stay with a late check-out during the afternoon/night lobby hours; it will be added as a Day Retreat.
***We kindly request that guests be picked up by 6pm on weekdays and Sundays. Any guest remaining after 7pm will be comfortably accommodated as an overnight guest, with charges applied accordingly.
OFF-HOURS ARRIVALS & DEPARTURES:
All arrivals and departures must happen during scheduled lobby hours.
We set these hours to ensure we can dedicate the majority of our time to the dogs' care and activities and to minimize disruption to the animals in our charge.
If you request an arrival or departure outside of our posted lobby hours:
You must request an off-hours appointment by calling or messaging us.
A fee of $25 will be added to your reservation.
Appointments are subject to staff availability and cannot always be guaranteed.
VACCINATIONS

HEALTH
All Pet Guests must have been in good health for the past 30 days prior to their arrival.
All Pet Guests must be on a monthly flea and tick preventative schedule.
If fleas or ticks are found on any pet, pet parents (or their emergency contact) will be contacted and expected to pick up their pet.
Any Pet Guests that require specialized attention and/or care are welcome. Please discuss your pet’s needs with us to make sure that we can properly provide the care your pet needs.
VETERINARY CARE
In the event of your pet needs veterinary care while staying with us, our protocol is as follows:
We will initially contact the pet owner.
If we are unable to reach you, we will then attempt to reach out to your pet’s veterinarian.
If both attempts are unsuccessful, we will proceed to take your pet to the emergency room or consult with our own veterinarian.
This is to ensure the best possible care for your pet, in a timely manner.
DAY RETREAT
All Pet Guests must be at least 4 months of age to participate in our Day Retreat.
The Day Retreat offers personalized, one-on-one care, so availability is limited. We suggest booking early to ensure you get a spot.
To ensure the highest quality service, Day Retreats are reserved for Monday through Thursday and non-Peak/Holiday seasons.
Grooming/Spa guests are welcome to add a Day Retreat for before and/or after their visit at any time, provided space is available. Availability is guaranteed if booked with your pet’s grooming appointment.
GROOMING/SPA SERVICES
P-K Pet Care is now P-K Pet Resort & Spa. Alex continues to offer her specialized one-on-one grooming services.
All prices are an estimate, not a quote. The actual price will depend upon breed, type and condition of coat and skin, age, personality, behavior, and frequency of service. Additional de-matting fees apply.
Grooming/Spa Services are available Monday through Friday.
To ensure the highest quality service, Grooming/Spa services are reserved for non-Peak/Holiday seasons.
Given the limited availability, we advise booking your appointments in advance.
We highly recommend a regular 4–8 week grooming schedule, customized to your pet's needs. For your convenience and to ensure your preferred slots, we offer the option to schedule all your appointments for the upcoming year in advance.
We kindly ask that you allow your pup to have a bathroom break prior to your appointment. This simple step can reduce their stress and make their grooming experience much more enjoyable.
PET KAB
Pet-Kab is P-K Pet Resort & Spa’s chauffeur service for your pet. We serve the Rochester MN area.
Pick-up:
7am-9am Monday-Friday
Drop-off:
4pm-7pm Monday-Friday
***The pick-up and drop-off times are approximate and may vary based on the day’s routes and the number of dogs. Please ensure you are home to accompany your pet to and from the Pet-Kab.

• Pre-paid packages are exclusively for the specific services for which they were originally purchased.
• Pre-Paid Packages may not be combined with any other discount, coupon or offer.
• Pre-paid packages expire 2 months from the date of purchase.
• Additional Pet Guests, of the same household, are welcome to share in all pre-paid packages.
• Pre-paid packages are non-refundable and have no cash value.

NOTICE TO THE PET OWNER/GUARDIAN:
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. THIS AGREEMENT INCLUDES A RELEASE OF LIABILITY AND WAIVER OF LEGAL RIGHTS AND DEPRIVES YOU OF THE RIGHT TO SUE P-K PET RESORT & SPA LLC (referred to in this agreement as “P-K Pet Resort”), AND RELATED PARTIES. 1. Owner/Guardian: I represent that I am the owner and/or authorized guardian of my pet and I am fully authorized to enter into this agreement.
2. Refusal of Service: I understand P-K Pet Resort serves the right to deny admittance to any pet for any reason, at any time.
3. Pet Requirements: I represent that my pet meets all the following requirements:
Is 4 months of age or older.
Is current on his/her required vaccinations.
Is on a monthly flea and tick preventative medication.
Has been in good health for the last 30 days prior to check-in.
I have completed the Pet Guest Profile
My dog will enter and exit the P-K Pet Resort on a leash.
4. Health: I represent that my pet has not had any contagious illnesses of any kind for 30 days prior to check- in. I am aware and understand that the P-K Pet Resort employees are not Veterinarians and do not have backgrounds in animal medicine. The P-K Pet Resort employees cannot diagnose or detect illnesses in the pets that are staying at P-K Pet Resort. I agree to assume all risks associated with the administration of medication by P-K Pet Resort during my pet’s stay. In addition, I acknowledge and am aware that vaccines do not protect against all contagious illnesses that may affect my pet. I HEREBY AGREE TO INDEMNIFY P-K PET RESORT, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS AGAINST ANY CLAIMS MADE AGAINST P-K PET, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS AS A RESULT OF MY FAILURE TO INFORM P-K PET RESORT OF ANY PRE-EXISTING MEDICAL CONDITIONS THAT MY PET MAY HAVE.
5. Flea and Ticks: I agree that if any fleas or ticks are discovered on my pet during check-in or at any other time while my pet is receiving services at P-K Pet Resort, that P-K Pet Resort will require my pet to be picked up. If a flea bath and flea treatment of any kind is administered, it will be at the owner’s expense.
6. Veterinarian Liability and Care: I agree to allow P-K Pet Resort to obtain Veterinarian medical treatment for my pet, if, in its sole discretion it appears that, the pet is ill, injured, or exhibits any other behavior that would reasonably suggest that my pet might need medical treatment. Medical treatment may require transportation of my pet to receive care and I hereby authorize such transportation. I grant P-K Pet Resort full authority to make decisions involving the medical treatment of my pet during its stay at P-K Pet Resort. I agree that I am fully responsible for the cost of any such medical treatment and transportation. I agree that I am assuming all risk of illness, disease, harm or otherwise to my pet by allowing my pet to participate in services at P-K Pet Resort. Furthermore, I agree that I am assuming all risk of the consequences associated with any decisions made by P-K Pet Resort, relating to the medical care and transportation of my pet.
7. Transportation: I agree that if my pet is transported to or from P-K Pet Resort, by P-K Pet Resort, its employees, or agents, that I AGREE TO HOLD P-K PET RESORT, IT'S OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, OR AGENTS HARMLESS IN THE EVENT OF INJURY OR ACCIDENT DURING TRANSPORTATION.
8. Pet Behavior: I agree to be solely financially responsible for all acts, behavior, and Veterinarian care of my pet while in the care of P-K Pet Resort. IN ADDITION, I AGREE THAT IF MY PET IS INJURED BY ANOTHER PET, I HEREBY RELEASE P-K PET RESORT, IT'S OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS FROM ALL LIABILTY AND FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR SUCH INJURY. I FURTHER UNDERSTAND THAT IF MY PET BITES A HUMAN OR PET, THAT P-K PET RESORT MAY CONTACT THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES.
9. Day Retreat and Play Dates: I understand that P-K Pet Resort offers optional Play Dates where multiple dogs will interact. I understand that dogs often play with their mouth and paws, which can result in nicks and scratches on pets. While P-K Pet Resort provides reasonable care, trained professionals, and 100% supervision in these Play Dates, I understand and agree that it’s possible the P-K Pet Resort employees may not notice these nicks or scratches before my pet’s departure and, therefore, I might not be notified.
10. Abandonment Notice: I fully understand and agree that if my pet is not picked up by myself or an authorized representative within 7 calendar days after the day my pet is scheduled to depart, that my pet shall be deemed “abandoned”. I understand if I abandon my pet at P-K Pet Resort, P-K Pet Resort, in its sole discretion, will try to re- home my pet, or relinquish my pet to a legal shelter of its choice. I FULLY UNDERSTAND AND AGREE THAT IF I ABANDON MY PET AT P-K PET RESORT, I MAY BE UNABLE TO RETRIEVE MY PET AND WILL HAVE NO RECOURSE AGAINST P-K PET RESORT. In addition, I understand that I will still be responsible for the unpaid charges incurred for my pet’s stay.
11. Personal Property: I agree that P-K Pet Resort shall not be responsible or liable for any lost, stolen, or damaged personal property belonging either to my dog or me. I also understand and agree that my dog's collar will be removed while staying at P-K Pet Resort to assist in preventing injury.
12. Service Fees: I agree to pay for all fees, services, and products with a credit card, cash, or P-K Pet Resort gift certificate at the time of my pet’s pickup from each visit at P-K Pet Resort. I give express permission to P-K Pet Resort to charge any of the credit card numbers provided on my Credit Card Authorization Form(s) for any unpaid fees, services, or products.
13. Reservations: I understand that confirmed reservations are required for boarding services at P-K Pet Resort. I understand there is a two (2) night minimum for all boarding reservations during any Peak/Holiday periods.
14. Cancellations: Non-Holiday/Non-Peak Policy: I understand that all confirmed reservations for NON-HOLIDAY/NON-PEAK DAYS must be cancelled at least 2 (two) days prior to my pet’s reserved arrival date. I further understand that a cancellation made within 2 (two) days of my pet’s arrival date, or a no-show, will result in my credit card on file being charged for a 1 (one) night stay.
15. Cancellations: Holiday/Peak Policy: I understand that all confirmed reservations for HOLIDAY/PEAK DAYS must be cancelled at least 7 (seven) days prior to my pet’s reserved arrival date. I further understand that cancellation made within 7 (seven) days of my pet’s reserved arrival date, or a no show, will result in my credit card on file being charged for a 2 (two) night stay.
16. Check-out Times: I understand that if my pet is not picked up during P-K Pet Resort’s lobby hours, a $35.00 fee per pet applies if picked up within 1 (one) hour post-closing. Pets not picked up within this hour are considered overnight boarding guests and will be charged accordingly.
17. Early departure: Once a pet’s stay has begun, I understand that I am responsible for payment of all days reserved, regardless of picking my pet up prior to the scheduled departure date, unless prior arrangements have been made.
18. Refunds: P-K Pet Resort will gladly accept returns of unopened and unused merchandise from our boutique within 30 days of purchase with proof of receipt.
19. Resort & Spa Guidelines: I acknowledge that I have received, reviewed, and signed a copy of P-K Pet Resort’s “Resort and Spa Guidelines.” I HEREBY AGREE TO BE FULLY BOUND BY ALL THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF P-K Pet Resort’s “RESORT AND SPA GUIDELINES.”
20. Duty to Disclose: I represent that I have disclosed and shall continue to disclose, all medical conditions or any other conditions, including, but not limited to, personality concerns or behaviors that may affect, limit, or prevent my pet’s ability to participate in services provided by P-K Pet Resort. I understand that P-K Pet Resort will rely on those representations to provide a safe environment for both humans and animals.
21. Controversy or Claim: I agree that any controversy or claim arising out of, or relating to this contract, or breech thereof, or as the result of any claim or controversy including the alleged negligence by any party to this contract, shall be settled by arbitration in accordance with the rules of the American Arbitration Association. I further agree that judgment upon award rendered by an arbitrator may be entered in any Court having jurisdiction thereof and the arbitrator shall, as part of his award to the prevailing party, the cost of such arbitrations and reasonable attorney’s fee of the prevailing party.
22. Waiver, Release, and Indemnification: I RELEASE, WAIVE, DISCHARGE, INDEMNIFY AND AGREE TO HOLD P-K PET RESORT, IT'S OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS HARMLESS FOR ANY AND ALL MANNER OF DAMAGES, INJURY, CLAIMS, LOSS, LIABILTIES, COSTS OR EXPENSES, ATTORNEY’S FEES, CAUSES OF ACTION OR SUIT, WHATSOEVER IN LAW OR EQUITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO THE SERVICES PROVIDED BY P-K PET RESORT, ITS OWNERS, DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES OR AGENTS INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION: (1) ANY INACCURACY IN ANY STATEMENT MADE BY MYSELF OR INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ME TO P-K PET RESORT, (2) MY PET, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DISTRUCTION OF PROPERTY, DOG BITES, INJURY, AND TRANSMISSION OF DISEASE, AND (3) ANY ACTION BY MYSELF THAT IS IN BREACH OF THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT.
23. Sole Agreement: This writing represents the sole agreement between P-K Pet Resort and the Owner/Guardian.
24. Affirmation: Each time I bring my pet into P-K Pet Resort, I am re-affirming the terms of this agreement, and the truthfulness and accuracy of all the statements I have made in this agreement.
I HAVE READ AND FULLY UNDERSTAND THE TERMS OF THIS AGREEMENT AND UNDERSTAND THAT I WILL GIVE UP SUBSTANTIAL RIGHTS BY SIGNING IT. I HAVE SIGNED THIS AGREEMENT FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT, ASSURANCE OR GUARANTEE AND INTEND IT TO BE A COMPLETE AND UNCONDITIONAL RELEASE OF ALL LIABILITY TO P-K PET RESORT & SPA LLC, IT'S OWNERS, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES AND AGENTS TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PREMITTED BY LAW. I FURTHER AGREE THAT IF ANY PORTION OF THIS AGREEMENT IS HELD TO BE INVALID OR UNENFORCEABLE, THE REMAINDER OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL REMAIN IN FULL FORCE AND EFFECT.
