MARCH at P-K Pet Resort & Spa
Hello from P-K Pet Resort & Spa
March in Minnesota can be snowy and cold one day, then sunny and warm the next.
We’re looking forward to longer days, a little more sunshine, and more time outside with the pups as spring takes its sweet time showing up.

☀️A Day at P-K
Here’s what a typical day looks like for a pup staying with us:
Morning
Each morning begins with getting everyone outside so no one is waiting long.
Dogs go out individually for their first bathroom break.
Breakfast is served, and medications, supplements, and feeding instructions are carefully followed and double-checked.
After breakfast and time to let their stomachs settle, everyone heads out again for another potty break.
Mid-Morning
Mid-morning is when we spend extended one-on-one time together.
When it’s warmer, we head out earlier. In the winter, we wait until it is more comfortable. We adjust as needed but keep the routine the same.
This is when each pup gets focused time based on what they enjoy most. Some play fetch, tug, or try a little agility. Others prefer enrichment puzzles, sniff time, or simply sitting together.
Most pups thrive when they have our full attention. We truly enjoy playing together or simply spending time cuddling.
Afternoon Rest
After a full morning, it’s time to slow down.
Some nap. Some relax on their private, covered patio to enjoy the outdoors.
Before supper, everyone goes out again for another potty break.
Evening Wind-Down
Dinner is served, and we give everyone time afterward to let their tummies settle.
Later in the evening, there is one last potty break before bedtime.
Before they turn in, they get bedtime treats, a favorite way to end the day.
We always do an in-person check once they’ve settled in and continue monitoring through the night.
After a full day, most pups are ready to sleep.
A consistent routine helps everything feel safe and familiar.
Knowing Each Pup
One of the things we love most about being intentionally small is how well we come to know the pups in our care.
We notice their favorites. We learn what helps them feel comfortable. We see what makes them happy.
Some have a favorite orange ball. Some want lots of running and playing. Some like to curl up with us. Some enjoy a little extra attention at mealtime, whether that is special toppings on their food or having us nearby while they eat.
Over time, those details matter. When they return, we remember them. When possible, we use the same suite so it feels familiar.
That is one of the reasons we choose to stay small and hands-on. It gives us the chance to really pamper and spoil the pups. Your pup isn’t just staying here, we truly get to know them.
A Few Sweet Faces
Sweet Ivy
Chickoo will happily climb just about anything for a treat.
🚗 Seasonal Safety Reminder
Just a reminder to be careful on the gravel road. It can be even slipperier when wet than when it is icy.
Please also keep an eye out for deer. We see quite a few out here in the country, and they tend to cross the road at dusk and early evening.
Kindly,
Alex & Christine
